Ensemble is a student performing company for students passionate about dance training and artistry who want to be a part of a team. Ensemble dancers work with guest choreographers, perform in several events throughout the year, attend professional performances, and engage in community outreach.
A dance company is like a family. Dancers have a shared bond in their passion for technique, artistry, and performance. They support and make a commitment to one another as a team. -Dancers work with staff and guest artists in weekly rehearsals
-Training in ballet and a variety of contemporary dance forms
-Production of professional showcase performance
-Community engagement projects both teaching and performing
-Field trip to dance performance and dinner
-Workshop and master class opportunities
Requirements and Commitment
-Students are 9-19 years and have previous dance training
-Minimum of one ballet class and one contemporary, jazz, or modern class per week
-Audition process or class placement
-Enrollment in 'Ensemble' rehearsal for one hour on Tuesday evenings
-Commitment to classes and support of peers
-One weekend event or rehearsal per month on average
Cost and Payment Options
Tuition for Ensemble is $400/year per student and covers the following expenses: team jacket, costumes and production for the student showcase, guest choreographer, master classes (one each semester), tickets to a professional show and dinner (field trip), and extra rehearsal time.

ArtWalk Performance Saturday, September 18th 12:00-2:00pm - It's National Dance Day!
Day of Thanks either Saturday or Sunday November 13th or 14th - A day to give our time, gifts, and a performance to an organization in our community.
Nutcracker Tea Sunday, December 5th - Students learn Nutcracker dances in class and attend one outside rehearsal.
Ensemble Show Saturday, February 26th Performances at Parsons Theatre
Field Trip Saturday, January 15th - meet at LDA by 4pm. Show is 7:30 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts
Second Auditions for LDA Ensemble are Tuesday, July 20th 6:30-7:15pm
Please be prepared to warm up and learn a ballet and contemporary dance combination. You do not need experience in all forms to participate, we are here to teach and support! Students should wear black leggings and solid color fitted top or leotard. Bring any dance shoes you own.
